The rarest of the Joha family.
Kunkuni Joha is a short-grain heirloom rice variety from Assam, prized for its exceptionally delicate floral aroma — more subtle than regular Joha, more complex than anything you'll find in a supermarket. It cooks soft with a slight bite, and the fragrance fills the kitchen the moment it hits hot water.
This is a rice that doesn't need much. A simple dal, a light fish curry, or just ghee and salt — Kunkuni Joha makes the meal.
Grown in small quantities by traditional farming families in the Brahmaputra valley. No hybrid seeds. No blending. What you get is exactly what was harvested.
Best for: Everyday rice, light curries, khichdi, festive meals
Grain type: Short grain, aromatic
Origin: Assam, India
Shelf life: 6 months from packing
Storage: Cool, dry place. Keep sealed after opening.
