Bora Saul (বৰা চাউল) — Sticky Rice

The heart of every Bihu celebration. Bora Saul is a traditional Assamese glutinous rice with a naturally sticky, chewy texture that makes it irreplaceable for pithas, jolpaan, and festive sweets. When steamed, it holds together beautifully — nothing else comes close.

Used for generations to make til pitha, ghila pitha, and sunga saul. If you grew up in Assam, this is the rice that means celebration.

Also loved by Japanese and Korean home cooks as a natural glutinous rice for mochi, tteok, and sticky rice dishes.
