Bhedai Lota, known in English as skunk vine, is a strong-smelling climbing vine native to Assam and Northeast India. Its bold aroma mellows beautifully when cooked — best enjoyed as crispy Bhedai Lota Bor (fritters) or mashed into a Bhedai Lota Fish Pitika.
